Money Matters

Fidelity, Warburg Pincus, Boenning & Scattergood. Credit unions. Unclaimed property specialists. I’ve written enough financial services copy to have “Past performance is not a guarantee of future results” burned into my brain. Here’s a campaign I wrote for fiduciary advisors in New Hampshire.
You have better things to think about than the price of soybeans in Asia, arcane tax codes, and share buybacks. You have things to do. Comics to read. Soufflés to bake. You need to glue that gaudy vase. Learn to tango. Get a massage. You have a life to live. It makes sense to work with a financial planner who pays attention to that life, and what you want out of it.
Remember trust? Leaving at your door unlocked? The gentleman's handshake? Stanch the cynicism: honesty and integrity are alive and well, if you know where to look. Look for a financial planning firm that not only retains its clients, it befriends them. For people driven by something other than commissions. People you'd ask to keep your love letters (like one of our clients did). Look for fiduciaries who are legally bound to offer responsible counsel. Look for professionals who are worthy of your trust. We're here.
Bungee jumping is all well and good, but you'd like to keep the thrills and chills out of your finances. What better way to strap a safety belt on your portfolio then the method that won a Nobel prize? "Modern Portfolio Theory" is more than just theory when we put it to work. It lets you worry less about your money, and more about your pinball score, your Venus flytrap, and the squirrels in your attic. You focus on your life, and we'll focus on making it everything you want it to be.
Don't expect to get plugged into some automatic investment program that just converts everything into pretty pie charts. That's not us. We don't simply crunch numbers: we ask questions. And not only "When do you want to retire?" But "Are you outdoorsy? Bookish? Do you collect salt-and-pepper sets?" The real question is "What do you want out of life?" Let Ames be part of the answer.
